Drexel University Online ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
Today, we at Drexel University Online participated in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. In addition to the challenge, we're proud to have donated $500 to The ALS Association!
The Ice Bucket Challenge was created by The ALS Association to spread awareness of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, and to help raise funds for research and a cure.
Their social media campaign has taken the world by storm! Everyone from New Jersey Governor Chris Christie to Justin Timberlake to Ethel Kennedy has poured a bucket of ice water over his or her head and challenged others do the same or make a donation to fight ALS within 24 hours.
We're now challenging the Philadelphia Eagles, Penn Medicine and the Drexel University Alumni Association. They have 24 hours to complete the challenge or they have to donate to the ALS foundation - better yet, both!
