What is a Master’s in Entrepreneurship and Innovation?

A master’s in entrepreneurship and innovation is designed for those who want to develop ideas for new businesses or learn how to innovate within existing companies. Entrepreneurs embody a sense of autonomy, purpose, and flexibility that businesses need. They are trailblazers who believe in themselves and their mission without the support of a large company or organization. Entrepreneurs can also enhance an existing idea or practice, which is why innovation is so closely linked to entrepreneurship.

    Why is Entrepreneurship Important?

Entrepreneurs create new business opportunities that provide the community with options outside of traditional corporations. Intrapreneurs, or entrepreneurs within an organization, can identify ways to introduce a product to new markets or turn innovative ideas into real-life changes. Entrepreneurs drive innovation. Without entrepreneurs we wouldn’t have the convenience of rideshare apps, online shopping, or half the small businesses that make up our economy today. Privately or publicly, entrepreneurs seek to improve existing products and services, or create new ones, for the benefit of the greater good.

    Learn From the Best

John Wilson, from Drexel University’s Charles D. Close School of Entrepreneurship, explains how intrapreneurs can help their companies innovate from the inside.
